Getting Started

This quick guide walks you through the key steps to get your program set up and running.

1. Configure Commissions

  1. Navigate to Affiliate Tiers
    Go to Settings -> Affiliate Tiers to configure your commission structure.
  2. Fixed Amount or Percentage
    You can set commissions as a fixed amount (e.g., $5 per order) or a percentage of the order value (e.g., 10%).
  3. Affiliate Tiers
    Create multiple tiers to assign different commission rates to different groups of affiliates. By default, all affiliates go into the “default” tier.
  4. Product Segments
    Within a tier, you can set unique commission rates for specific products via product segments. By default, all products use the default segment rate.
  5. Optional Descriptions
    Add tier and segment-specific descriptions that affiliates can see when they log in. This helps affiliates understand your commission structure and any special requirements.

2. Integrate your platform

  1. Supported Platforms
    • Currently, we provide a WooCommerce integration.
    • A Shopify integration is in progress.
    • Other platforms can integrate via Custom (API-only) .
  2. Affiliate Link Format
    • Once an affiliate is created, they receive a unique URL parameter.
    • Example: https://yourwebsite.com/?affiliate=your-affiliate
  3. Testing & Verification
    Place a test order using an affiliate link to confirm conversions are tracked correctly. Detailed testing steps will be provided in a future guide or can be found in our documentation.

3. Invite Affiliates

  1. Two Ways to Add Affiliates
    • Email Invite: Send an invitation to one or multiple emails with a custom message.
    • Custom Link: Generate a unique sign-up link you can share in your own email or messaging.
  2. Automatic Approval
    We’re developing a landing page where affiliates can request access. You’ll have the option to manually approve or deny requests.

4. Add Your Payment Method

  1. PayPal Payouts
    Currently, PayPal is the only supported payout method. We’re working on adding more options soon.
  2. Connect Your Account
    Go to Account -> PayPal Payouts to link your PayPal account. For more details, see the Payments guide to learn how PayPal payouts work.

5. Add Your Company Details

  1. Why It’s Important
    Company information is used to generate invoices for your affiliates. Ensure these details are accurate to streamline bookkeeping.
  2. Where to Add
    Navigate to Account -> Company Details and input your company name, address, and any other relevant data.

6. Test Your Program as an Affiliate

  1. Internal Testing
    We recommend testing the affiliate experience to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  2. Invite Your Own Email
    Send an affiliate invitation to your own email and sign up as if you were a new affiliate.
  3. Merchant ↔ Affiliate View
    Use the menu in the bottom-left of the sidebar to toggle between merchant and affiliate views, so you can see what your affiliates see.
