An affiliate slug is the identifier that connects affiliate traffic to a later order. It is the value your platform captures from the affiliate link and preserves until the order is created.
In most implementations, the slug is stored in a cookie or similar attribution mechanism first, then written to the order record before the order is submitted to Affilibee.
Attribution is the process of deciding which affiliate should receive credit for an order. In Affilibee, attribution depends on the slug your platform captured earlier and submitted along with the completed order.
If your platform does not persist that attribution correctly, Affilibee cannot infer it later. That makes attribution handling one of the most important parts of the integration.
Tiers are the primary way to group affiliates under different commission rules. A merchant might use one default tier for most affiliates and additional tiers for partners who earn different rates.
The assigned tier affects how submitted orders are evaluated when commissions are calculated.
Product segments let you override the default commission behavior for specific products or groups of products. This makes it possible to pay different rates for different catalog areas without creating a separate tier for every case.
Segments are part of the commission model, so they only affect results if they are configured before live orders are processed.
An order in Affilibee is a completed order record submitted from your platform. It contains the data needed for attribution, commission calculation, and later payout reporting.
Order rows can reflect the product-level breakdown used to apply segment rules and review commission outcomes.
Payment periods group earned commissions into a time-based payout cycle. They give merchants a window to review orders and corrections before commissions are locked for payout.
This is the layer between an attributed order and an actual affiliate payment.
A payout batch is the finalized payment group that moves commissions from a confirmed period into payout. It represents the operational payout event rather than the original order event.
